Rigontec Raises Additional €15M in Extended Series A to Advance Novel RIG-I Targeted Immuno-Oncology Therapeutics
Rigontec, the leader in RIG-I targeting RNA therapeutics, today announced that it has secured EUR 15 million in a third and final closing of its Series A round. The financing represents additional capital from current investors Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund, Forbion Capital Partners, High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), NRW.BANK, MP Healthcare Venture Management, Sunstone Capital and Wellington Partners Life Sciences. incapptic Connect closes seed round with HTGF. This start-up's unique software resolves a complex problem in the field of apps and enterprise mobility.
incapptic Connect's software simplifies the exchange of data between companies and external developers when updating apps. Each app needs to be signed with a digital corporate key before it can be published. This is akin to a sort of company signature. Julia Seeliger joined the HTGF family in February 2020 as a Junior Analyst in the field of life sciences and chemistry. Already during her bachelor studies in economics she supported the life sciences team as a working student and was immediately excited about the dynamic start-up and venture capital scene. She was also teaching assistant for the subjects of statistics and the basics of business administration at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University of Bonn. In her free time she is passionate about sports.

Richard Lichtenberg – Junior Analyst
Richard Lichtenberg is part of the Life Science investment team as a Junior Analyst. Over the last years he gained work and study experience in Austria, Iceland, Portugal and South Africa, among others. He completed his bachelor’s degree at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration in economics and his master’s degree at Nova SBE in Lisbon in management, specializing in finance and entrepreneurship. During his studies and various internships for different startups, he was able to continuously educate himself in the field of venture capital.
In his free time, he is passionate about playing tennis, likes to spend his vacations hiking and always has a good book by his side.
Johannes Dierkes – Investment Manager
Johannes is an investment manager at HTGF and is looking for passionate founders with promising digital business ideas to complement the portfolio in the future. Before starting his career in the consulting environment, Johannes studied business administration in Münster, Vancouver and Munich.
As an investment manager, he brings experience from consulting and start-ups: In addition to supporting well-known clients from the financial services industry with digitalization projects, he was involved in the founding of a FinTech in the area of follow-up financing. While Johannes deals with strategy and investment topics in his professional field, he is a passionate sportsman (tennis, racing bike, soccer) and enthusiastic pianist in his free time.
Jan T. Bernhardt – Head of IT
Jan T. Bernhardt is Head of IT at High-Tech Gründerfonds. As head of the IT team, he is responsible for the planning and management of IT projects, as well as the further development of the IT service offering. The IT business economist brings with him 20 years of IT experience. In the past ten years, Jan has worked in the environment of German professional soccer in IT project management and as a manager IT in the automotive industry. In this role, he had overall IT responsibility for the group for the last three years and shaped the IT strategy and implementation of the digitalization program, both nationally and internationally.
In his free time, Jan is interested in soccer and enjoys mountain biking.

As Junior HR Manager, Corina Galias supports the P&C team in all matters: from recruiting to university cooperation. Corina has been part of the HTGF team since August 2022. After completing her apprenticeship in the office in January 2024, she joined the P&C team. She is currently studying business law part-time at the TH Cologne. Corina likes to spend her free time doing vinyasa yoga and baking cakes.
